Hi. So I wanted to give you a Zerona update.

I had my first session and it was painless and relaxing. As a matter of fact it is so chill I find it hard to believe that it will work. But in a couple of weeks I will let you know. It is like a dream come true lying on a table with lasers pointing at your skin and melting away fat. We will see. So as I said part of the treatment requires you to do 30 minutes of exercise. So today I am going to Zumba tm.

I am sure most of you have heard about Zumba but how many of you have tried it.

Many health clubs offer Zumba as a class. I am sure this is awesome and fun to be in all that positive energy with the music flowing. But for me I would rather do this at home. I am more likely to do this daily if I don’t have to get into my car and drive somewhere. But I know some of you like to be in the health club atmostsphere. Either way whatever it takes just to make sure you do get physically fit.

So here is a bit of background on Zumba. A Colombian dance choreographer Alberto “Beto” Perez created it in the early 1990’s in Colombia.

He combined Latin dances with aerobics. The choreography incorporates, samba, slasa, merengue, hiphop, martial arts, bellydancing along with lunges and squats.

You do not have to be a dancer to enjoy this program. Although some dancers do enjoy this like Jennifer Lopez and people who recreationally dance like my friend Eva La Rue.

If you watch the DVD’s it comes with an introduction and step by step of the dances. Then when you move onto the routines there is an option to have the step by step before each routine. The more you do this the better you will become. It really is quite easy. I do this at home as I said and I love it!! It is fun, it makes me sweat (by the way I never sweat) and I see the results. It is an exercise routine that I actually look forward to.

There are several DVD’s. Some that really stand out are Zumba Gold, that was developed for the older crowd, Zumbatronics for children (they Love it) and Aqua Zumba for water exercise. I personally love exercising in the water because I hate getting overheated!

Zumba is low impact and there are routines that are twenty minutes up to an hour. Depending on how much effort you put into it burns between 500 and 1000 calories. The time flies by when I am doing this and before I know it the DVD has ended.

My sons both are workout a holics and they kind of laughed at my Zumba so I said ok you guys come and do an hour with me I guarantee you will build up a sweat. So to humor me they did and yea they both were sweating and felt the effects of doing the routine for an hour.  Now once in awhile they even join me.

By the way getting aerobic exercise is not only good for your heart, organs and weight but it is also good for one organ we don’t think of our skin. It keeps your skin healthy and vibrant by increasing the blood flow to your cells.

Blood carries nutrients and oxygen to all working cells in your body including the skin. It also carries away waste products including free radicals. So it doesn’t really detoxify your skin but your liver does .So by increasing blood flow to the liver through exercise you are flushing out your system from the inside out.

Exercise is a great stress reliever and the signs of stress are also seen on your skin. Like breakouts for example. That is caused by your sebaceous glands. Stress influences the oil in your sebaceous glands in turn, which causes your skin to break out.

So there are many reasons to make exercise part of your daily routine. It really does have a positive force on your Makeup (skin) body and Soul! Let me know if you try this whether at home or in the gym.

Peace and love,
