12th June 2012

Unknown

Hi. Today Is June 11 and it is my parent’s 57th wedding anniversary. What an amazing accomplishment.

My parents met when my Mom was 13 and my Dad was 15. They started out as best friends and their friendship grew into love. (I believe that is always the strongest foundation to actually like your partner and not just be in love with them)

They married as soon as my Mom turned 18.

Their friendship and love affair is not only lasting but still continues to grow stronger each day. And even at 57 years they still are finding out new things about each other.

That’s because they never stopped listening! (As well as my Dad has a crazy sense of humor; laughter always creates positive energy, even in the face of the toughest situations)

As we all continue on our lives paths there are always changes and challenges.

When you find a partner who will not only stand by you physically but who is also connected to you by your heart and soul that is truly a blessing.

My parents have always been great role models for my brother and me. They never taught us that their way was the right way, but to find our own way and our own paths.

They showed us to believe in ourselves was a vital key but when you connect with someone who believes in you as well that is the key that opens endless possibilities..

Telling someone you love them takes a second but showing them that you love them takes your entire life.

To be able to look your partner in the eye and say I will not love you for the rest of your life but I will love you for the rest of mine speaks volumes,
